License number: NSW LN TOHS 201A.

This report will document if and where asbestos exists.

An asbestos identification report is designed to document all areas where an asbestos product exists within a building or a property.

It is often a requirement of the Local Council that an asbestos identification report be obtained prior to undertaking any building works.  Alternatively, a homeowner may be concerned with asbestos on the property or within a building. Asbestos was mined not only in Australia but also South Africa and other countries.  Mining of asbestos has been banned.

other-boxDamp & Mould Reports

Using a strict set of protocols we can identify the issues and propose solutions. Understanding the nature of the problem is one component, knowing how to remedy the situation is another matter entirely.

Once we have completed our initial assessment and discussed the report with you, stage two is ready to start. Findings from the report are crucial, indicating what is required and at what stage it must be performed.

Whatever the findings, we provide the means to make your indoor environment safe and healthy again. In addition, we will help to ensure the problem does not reoccur. Mould can cause many other problems, this is why you need to ensure it’s removed as quickly as possible.

Mould damages what it grows on and the longer it grows the more damage it causes. Mould can irrevocably damage your clothes, furniture, rugs, curtains, and other personal valuables. Once it takes hold, mould can destroy these items and you’ll need to replace them. Damp can cause major and costly structural damage to your home. It can, for example: ·

  • cause paint to peel
  • attract termites
  • cause wood rot
  • cause subsidence of piers
  • crack brickwork
  • cause movement in a building.

Pest Reports

A Pest Inspection, also known as a “Timber Pest Inspection,” is recommended before purchasing a property to ensure that no hidden structural issues exist. Timber pests include termites, wood borers and wood decay fungi (wood rot). These timber pests are common in all properties and can undermine timber structures.

Strata & Special Purpose Reports

One key is understanding general levies which are paid quarterly and will cover annual maintenance and repairs. A Strata Inspection Report gives you a full summary of the records produced by the owner’s corporation including minutes of meetings for the past 4 years where available. The inspection can take 2-3 working days

Special purpose reports are an independent identification document that can present any issues that need to be addressed and resolved. HouseCheck NSW can act quickly and with discretion to identify the problem and provide some alternative solutions. This approach can save time money and stress and is an affordable way to communicate concerns.
